Description

The Safe Loks patented Trap Slot design helps protect children two ways. First, it allows a cabinet door or drawer to open only about 1". Then it locks in place so your childs fingers cant be p"ed by the closing door, while it remains easy for an adult to release. Our new disable feature allows the latch to be removed to temporarily disable the locking function for easy access to drawers and cabinets when needed.

We installed these on all of the baby's drawers and they have worked out really well so far. When my toddler opens the drawer it automatically locks so she can't push it in or open it further. However, maybe my husband installed these incorrectly, but there is a narrow gap and she still able to reach in to pull out clothing from the drawers, so don't use this to keep children out of items they shouldn't have. One other note, if you have the drawer open your child can still slam their fingers. The locking mechanism is only intended when you initially open the drawer - not to close it.
