I had to replace my Groco HF due to limited availability of parts and high price for parts. This fit on a similar foot print. However, the odd angle of the 1.5 inch output hose created challenges. Why are there no alternative elbows at more normal angles? I typically had to rebuild the Groco pump every several months of use. It has been 5 months and no rebuild required yet.The condition was described as Used-Very Good but the corner of the base was cracked and one of the mounting holes was bent up and unusable. Not an accurate description IMOIt was easy to install, but the outlet valve leaked due to an odd diameter so I used electrical tape to slightly increase the diameter and it worked like a charm. We kept trying to fix our ancient commode on our sailboat. Once we realize what a great price a new commode was, we changed it out, and wished we had done so years ago.Used this for many years. Works well. Easy to install. Looks great. Have purchased several over 20 years for a live aboard boat.Tired of trying to find a rebuild kit for my reliable 30+-year-old Skipper marine head, I decided to go with something new...and found this...uh...deal. The first unit was received very quickly, but the bowl completely smashed. Amazon return was easy, and replacement was immediate Upon the arrival of the second unit I immediately installed the toilet seat, as a previous review stated this would be an issue. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the attachments were correctly oriented and easy to install - though it took a little logical thinking to address. In the morning a brought the unit to fit it in the boat. Though I planned according to the online measurements, I found the raw outlet on the side pump to interfere with my water inlet seacock. Then next few hours were spent rebuilding the floor to accommodate the new head, then replacing/re-routing the hoses, I verified the dry fit. I paused for a quick trip to home depot, as securing bolts were not provided. After an hour of contorting and aligning the head, lines, support, and seacock - I successfully bolted the unit in place. It was difficult getting to the bolts to secure the toilet to the floor- but that is pretty standard for a marine head. When evening rolled around I thought I was 'good to go'. After the first few pumps on the toilet I found a large amount of backpressure and no water entering the tank. When switching to the 'empty bowl' setting, pumping the unit dry worked fine. I disconnected the tank vent to verify it was clear and ran the new intake hose directly into a bucket of water (pouring water directly into the hose in an attempt to prime) and still had no luck. After some internet research, iI found that the wet/dry valve is the likely culprit. At this point, I would be sending the unit back if the removal/install process wasn't such a pain. As my time is very limited, I will have to disassemble and try to replace the valve next weekend. Very frustrated to have spent this much time working on a new head, and now to have to replace a part before it has ever been used!JABSCO Toilets are a good standard, I never had a problem with them. They don't last forever but that's alright as the price for the basis version is acceptable.I would have given it a five but I have not yet got to use it because my boats not in the water but it looks fantastic where my old one used to beTiene una calidad estupenda.
