UPDATE 9/21/20:Even that I was past the return date when I opened this lockset to install it (and found the issue), I was able to reach the seller (an actual live person!) with the help of Amazon's customer service. I explained to the seller where the confusion is with this product: in the name it says "double keyed deadbolt", which to a novice door-knob shopper, I assumed it meant a key for the deadbolt and another keyed entry for the regular door-knob. I have never seen 1 deadbolt with a keyed entry on both sides. In addition, the directions I received in the package show a keyed entry on one side and regular thumblatch on the other side of the deadbolt. I was able to explain the confusion to the seller and they have been so VERY helpful. They are sending a replacement lockset. The four stars is based on the item name, the instructions, and customer service I have received so far. Not giving 5 stars is because it should be a bit more clear in the item description that the deadbolt has a keyed entry from both sides and the directions need edited to take out the picture of the thumblatch. The installation process is not part of this review because I haven't installed it yet. So, I don't know the ease of that task. Again, the customer services has been TERRIFIC!**********I ordered this in mid-July 2020 in preparation for the time when we'd change the front door knob. Now, in mid-September 2020, we are ready to install the front door knob. I unpack it and find and it didn't come with the latch to the deadbolt. Instead, it came with two keyed entries for the deadbolt - one for inside and another for outside! And, it is past the time I can return it to get another one that has the right part. In addition, Amazon says there is no product support for this item. So, now I have a deadbolt I can't use and a hole in the front door where the deadbolt is supposed to be installed.Great looking handles, but are not truly universal I’d your installing on the left side or right side. Also, the screws were threaded on the female end, and wouldn’t allow me to install the screws all the way. One knob I had to actually break off a scrap of metal.Installation was simple, however, you must properly set up the center X for the keys and locks to work properly from both sides, took some time and adjustments but they look and work great.Product looks great but the instruction manual not so much. First I couldn't find two long screws then realized they were already screwed into their intended parts unlike all the others which came in bags. Then I couldn't find the tiny hex screws. They were missing. So the latch won't lock. The parts need to be labeled on the diagram to remove ambiguity between similar looking pieces.Came with chipped paint on the door handles was offered to send back, didn’t have time to do so. And one handle fell off after installInstallation instructions were minimal. Had trouble with first try on the deadbolt; had to rotate the prongs on the outside unit 180° in order for both keys to operate properly. The long bolts on the handle installation were bright brass rather than brushed bronze. The end result was very good, however.It was the hardest door knob I have every tried to put in. I had worded on it for over an hour and it still isn’t in properly. The lock doesn’t lock. If there is a trick to installing it I would really like to knowWe used this to replace a broken doorknob and deadbolt. Worked nicely and has a good look to it. Nicely priced.The Locks are1) Overrated and very light weight.2) Light weight doesn't give stability and very flimsy3) handles are reversible that's great but disadvantages actually tinny screw is taking all impact of the pull or pushing door as well as locking the door which isn't practical as the handle gets loose require tightening if not you can loose the screw.4) One can only discover the problems and challenges after installing the locks and if you paid someone to install you got the flimsy locks and lost money for installation.5) IN MY OPINION, this product should be removed from Amazon so no one is suffering financial cost of installation and then uninstallation and then renstallation of a different product.I installed this on my garage which gets use almost every day and the handle portion was loose after a couple months of use. It's not something that could be fixed without some fairly involved and potentially pointless effort. I was never putting a lot of pressure on it, but the door is a tight fit when you open and close so I guess that was enough for the metal to give out.It could be ok for a lighter use interior door, but I would go with something else.Item came well packaged and was shipped quickly......item was used for a side door to the garage....very sturdy and easy to install.quality is not badlove the three pack, ensures uniformity for each door, perfect colour!
