it is well made and very durable i have a lab and a german short hair so far it is holding up well!!I adopted a rescue dog. She came with a lot of emotional baggage. Left alone one day, she completely destroyed the plastic doggy dog. I needed a replacement made of metal. I found this one but was a little nervous about being made from aluminum. Very impressed. It's thick with a lot of weight to it. Very solid. It fit in the existing hole. Easy to install. The one feature I liked that the other manufacturers didn't offer was the metal security door. The other companies only offered a plastic one even with a metal frame. I installed it a week ago. So far so good.Easy to install.I'm happy with the product with the exception of the door flap.The flap does not close properly. Both sides bulge out 3/8 " on both sides in the middle.The plastic flap is not flat allowing hot air in. The magnets don’t hold in the wind and flap opens allowing more hot air in. I’m trying buying a replacement flap and buying stronger magnetsI wanted a black frame.Instructions were clear and concise. It was easy to install and the dogs caught on right away.
