Install will be the most difficult part on these as if you don't get it right it will bind and not work as designed. But overall, these are quite nice in function. After three weeks of use I am very happy with this product. It is as useful as you hope it would be, and easy to open with your hands full. Unlike some other customers, I find the set to be sturdy and so loudly attached to the door. The only advice is that during installation, if you have to adjust the mounting plate (to fit to your door thickness), the process begins by using a Phillips screw driver to unscrew the two screw posts - you actually insert the screw driver tip into the center tube of the screw post and turn. I didn’t appreciate that the screw post Center tube as designed to accept a screw driver tip.Overall I really like it. I have two kids that have sensory disorder and fine motor skill issues. I could see how for someone with a disability who can only possibly push a handle or pull handle push it up push it down whatever they need to do this would be an incredible door handle. It's not quite as easy to install as they make you believe though. Especially since apparently I have a thicker door so I had to adjust the door handle but on the other hand I'm happy that it did have the adjustment. And I still haven't figured out the screw that goes in I still haven't figured out the screw in The Shield when I screw it in it doesn't go in all the way so it's sticking out and you hit your hand on it.After a few days to get use to it, I really like it. Very well made, heavy metal feel.So handy when your hands are full. No need to set your packages down just push to openExtremely well made and so convenient. I installed it on a door at the top of stairs through which we carry groceries, boxes, etc. and usually have our hands full. In the past, that meant setting everything down on the top step to free a hand to rotate the old knob, hoping our groceries didn't roll back down the steps. Now, just a simple push against the knob and the door opens beautifully everytime. My wife was unimpressed when I bought this but a week later, admitted she'd never go back to the old standard door levers. One warning however: the inside locking button is placed directly under the lever so if one isn't careful opening the door from the inside, a finger can easily trigger the lock button and one is locked out without knowing it! I keep the release key on a ledge near the door just in case this engineering error occurs.I absolutely love these handles. I have replaced all my door handles with them including 2 exterior ones. The push/pull feature is terrific, even my husband likes them, and he usually does not like "change". When you have an armful full of groceries, all you have to do is push the handle, very convenient over struggling to turn a knob to get in. I find I am now using the push/pull action all the time verses the usual way. We have had them around 3-4 months and they great! their customer service has also been fantastic. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is replacing door knobs or building a new home... they also have a nice selection to choose from.I like this a lot. I have it on double French doors we go into every day all day. I find myself using the push and pull frequently. The only thing was the lock mechanism on one of the two I bought when shut would lock on its own. Instead of sending it back I just super glued the little lock pin so it couldn't rattle to the locked position. The other handle does not have this problem I'm assuming it was an isolated handle that did it. Easy to install. Came with a couple of installing options for different style of doors.Love these for the looks and multi function. Great for the elderly.
