This workout great if you travel and stay at hotels you and use it, and a great for home, the price was good also for 2 of them.I live alone and there have been a lot of break ins lately, this small door stopper is LOUD. Definitely does what it’s suppose to. I also like that it’s a two packExcellentI use these as a backup to my regular alarm system here at home. I would say in general they work. On my wood-look ceramic tile floor they tend to slip when you open the door instead of catching under the door and setting off the alarm. I fixed it by putting Velcro on the bottom of the wedge and on the floor. It is not ideal to have to do that but it works. As for the alarm, it's loud enough to wake you up if it goes off, so that part works well. I guess if you used it in a hotel room while traveling and there was carpet, it would work very well. If there is slick tile as is the case in a lot of hotel rooms, it may not work well. I feel overall for the money it is a good purchase.Simple usage, grips any flooring, loud, and okay sensitivity levels. 2 of the 4 worked fine. The other two either needed a rolled piece of paper to remain contact on the battery terminals or the high sensitivity level would sound its alarm without even touching it.Travel protectionReally great for traveling and home. Don’t forget the batteries. Sound has 2 volumes; High and low.I have had a Sabre door stopper alarm for 3+ years now that has never failed me. I decided to order some more to place these at all the doors in my house for added security and saw that these come in a two pack for a good price. They work but the quality is much much lower and I will eventually end up just giving these away and getting two more Sabre door stopper alarms. My issues with these are that they slide way too easily. When I arm them and place them at my doors, the door will open and these door alarms don’t go off- they just slide with the door as it opens. There’s rubber or something on the underside of the wedge that is supposed to keep it in place should it get pushed, but it is useless unless you realllllly jam that door wedge underneath the door, which doesn’t help because then you’ve set off your own alarm. Most of the time when I use these, I don’t turn on the alarm and just use them as wedges so I can really wedge them under the doors. This defeats the purpose.We bought these for multiple reasons. Firstly, we travel a lot, so securing doors when out of town is of primary importance. Secondly, we have some seriously mentally unstable neighbors who have been causing us grief, to the point that one was arrested. Don't want any douchey dudes entering our place uninvited.They work fine, very loud. I forgot I had set it up while my other half was at work. Needless to say, when he got home, he had a ear splitting surprise ? Surprisingly, our dog was fine with it, although smoke detectors make him crazy.The sensitivity switch & on/off switch are a bonus. I wouldn't want to accidentally trigger these things.My one complaint is that the battery compartment is EXTREMELY tight. I couldn't get a 9 volt to fit in there no matter how hard I tried. Took my husband about 15 minutes to get it in there.The battery compartment needs to be enlarged by just a few millimeters to make this a perfect product.I've gifted a couple to women whose ex boyfriends haven't gotten the hint to shove off. We keep a few in our travel bags so we never leave them behind.The doorstop worked just as I had hoped.Dad has started wandering at night. He tried to go out the front door at 1:00 am.The alarm sounded, and I was able to stop him from leaving the house.This helps me be able to sleep as well.Bought two, one doesn’t work AT ALL. Judging by battery placement compartment, quality control is ZERO. Whether it’s slave labour or a machine, they can’t even assemble a battery compartment without totally misaligning it and failing. Not to mention the battery barely fits in without exploding it. The one that does work doesn’t stick to the floor, when you open the door, it just moves with the door.... RENDERING IT USELESS..... another third party crap product from CHINA.**EDIT**The High setting does work, just not in the same way, it doesn't activate upon pressing the trigger lever, but by moving the whole unit, it has another sensor inside it seems to detect any sudden movement or vibration of the device. Pretty neat if the gap under the door is too tight and you can't jammed it in. However, it will activate simply by touching it when you try to turn it off.One star restored.Quality control could be better, 1 out of 3 has a noticeably lower sound, 2 out of 3 have a battery door that's harder to open, somewhat jammed, needed to pry it open with a flat screen driver. The High sensitivity doesn't work for all 3, no alarm sound which doesn't make sense and the instructions say nothing of it.Overall it's not worth the 23 CAD price tag because of these issues.The item came within a reasonable time. My complaint is that they don't work. They slip on my floor so it doesn't do me any good to have them. I've tried them with several doors in my house including the main door and the back door (which is where I wanted to use it). They slide right across the floor when the door opens. Not much of a security door jam that's for sure. I suppose they would work on carpet, but I have no carpet in my house just flooring. So useless to me. Quite disappointed.
