It's okay, I wanted to keep my little girl from messing with daddy's guns. I put my old family gun cabinet back in action lol, and forgot it was lacking in safety I got this lock for the glass and new locks for the cabinets. Safety first! The key was smooth, and turn nicely, it's going to get the job done. But the end that clamps to the glass could be stronger which means the metal could be stronger with less flexibility. The end that clamps to the glass will not tighten up enough and it's bowing out the more I tighten up on the screw. Oh well may add another .Its a great product. It’s easy to install.Simple and works well. The screw attachment has a nice plastic pad over it to protect your glass and give a good grip. The only drawback is that there is no padding on the inside of the "hook" so it tends to slide around a bit on the glass if tugged. It should be easily remedied with a piece of foam or something similar. The lock mechanism is smooth and strong.Purchased this product to prevent my niece from opening my reptile enclosures. They are great for the job they are made to do and is most definitely able to stop her from doing it while I am not in the room, but I can't seem to stop them from sliding down the glass whenever I unlock them. This is rather annoying, but bearable.Works as advertised, but it's kind of hard to get the screw-down clamp to stay in place as I open and close the case repeatedly. It's a great purchase if you don't often open the container that this will lock. Unfortunately for me, I'm using it on a reptile terrarium, which means I've got to deal with this lock fairly often, and the lock constantly needs to be re-screwed onto the front panel.Works wellThey function for what I need which is mainly a deterrent. They still work though and that makes them worth it. They are by no means a high quality item but that it clearly denoted by the price of the item as well.Could have been cheaper. Had to buy for foster license for a BB gun case.
