Part was installed on 2015 GMC Terrain after it was noticed driver door was not locking using the key fob.There are no instructions included with the part so search online for your particular make and model. Install was made difficult due to the limited amount of space there is to work in. On this particular vehicle there is three rods that connect to the lock actuator and all I can add is that is best to install the two rods that have the bend in them into the actuator before installing actuator and the last rod goes in the plastic clip.Had trouble with one of the rods wanting to fall out of the hole where it attached to the actuator and ended using a small piece of electrical tape to hold it on so it wouldn't come loose during installation. Door now locks using the key fob or by pushing the door lock / unlock button and have had no issue opening or closing door.
